Message from the
Chief of
Police:

I would like to take this
opportunity to welcome you to the Altona Police Service
Web site. The Altona Police Service is dedicated to
providing the finest police services possible. The men
and women of our Service are committed to core values
that include professionalism, integrity, honesty and
reliability. Our mission is to proudly serve the
citizens of Altona and Plum Coulee, using philosophies
of community/police partnerships, pro-active crime
prevention strategies, citizen and community input, and
constant introspection.
I
hope the information provided within this site will be a
valuable resource to our citizens. It is my desire that
you will discover ways in which you can partner with
police to prevent and fight crime in our communities.
Citizens rightfully
expect prompt and professional service available on
their doorsteps, 24-hours a day. It is the mandate of
the Altona Police Service to live up to that
expectation.
In order to continue
to provide quality service to our communities, I
encourage input from the citizens, neighborhood
associations, businesses, and all others that receive
police services from us. I invite you to contact us with
any comments, questions, or suggestions at police@townofaltona.com
I
look forward to working together to build more positive
connections, find solutions to quality of life issues,
and create avenues for working together to maintain the
safety and well being of our communities.
Sincerely
Perry

The Rhineland Area
Justice Committee is searching for several community
minded individuals who would be interested in serving
on the committee. The committee
meets with young offenders and provides options for
the youth to make amends to the community for their
wrong doing.
The members work with the youth as they fulfill
their contract which usually requires meeting with the
youth once or twice, as well as attending a monthly
meeting.
The committee recognizes the importance of
having youth take responsibility for their community
and that they become contributing members of
society.
If you are interested in the committee or have
further questions you are asked to contact Liz Hiebert
at 324-6984.
